Judge Elmer Whitehurst’s Hatton Sumners Papers

The Hatton Sumners papers provide a supplement to the major collection of his papers housed at the Dallas Historical Society, A.46.213 and consist primarily of speeches given by Sumners from 1918 to 1945 to different organizations and events. The speeches cover a wide range of topics, but all relate to politics or policy. Also included in this collection are supporting materials such as memos and correspondence between Sumners and different people or organizations.
