Bill Wade, Unclaimed Freight

My mom collected antiques and I remember her taking me to Bill Wade's Unclaimed Freight or Antiques. What I remember is two or more large two story frame houses somewhere near downtown. They may have been on Ross Ave. The houses were full of antique furniture. I remember there were wooden planks between the houses to walk on, perhaps the ground was muddy.

I also remember being taken to the Goodwill store somewhere in Deep Ellum. This was before the Good will store was built on Singleton Blvd.

This was mid 1960s.

The Goodwill store on Singleton had an As Is lot behind it where you paid a dime to get in and you could buy stuff that was piled up. I remember a mountain of 45 rpm records.
